In-Studio Headshot FAQs

Our studio is located at:

We're on the north side of the street between "Dashlashez." and “Pencil Studio”. The closest intersection is Copper Creek Drive and Villa Ada Drive, located between the Longo's and Walmart plazas. Free street parking is available on the north side of the street in front of the studio.

The Standard or Enhanced session fee covers your dedicated studio time and our photography team's time, talent and expertise. Our team only serves one client at a time to give you our full attention. At your appointment, you'll be able to view your beautiful headshots and decide how many you would like to purchase. There are no minimum purchase requirements and no obligations. We have a Satisfaction Guarantee.

In the very unlikely event that you don’t like any of your headshots from your headshot session for reasons in our control (lighting, posing, etc.), there are two possible options. To be eligible for either of these options, you must indicate your concerns promptly at the end of the photo shoot. We offer to show our clients their headshot images multiple times during the photo shoot. Please make our photographer aware of your concerns right away so we have the opportunity to make adjustments.

At the sole discretion of the photographer, we may book a reshoot appointment and you can give your headshots another try on another day at no additional cost. The second option is to make use of our satisfaction guarantee for the headshot session. If you do not wish to give it another try, we will refund your headshot session fee. No images will be delivered.

The client is responsible to bring the wardrobe they wish to wear and the hair style and makeup application they prefer for their headshots. The studio is not responsible for providing reshoots because clients are unhappy with their choices in clothing/makeup/hair. Reshoots are at the discretion of the photographer for reasons that were under our control.

If you have already chosen favourites and the retouching process has begun, this confirms that you are satisfied and the session is now complete. You are welcome to book additional sessions at the standard headshot rates if you wish to have a larger selection of images or if you wish to try out different wardrobe choices, hair styles, etc.

Our retouching services have a satisfaction guarantee. This means that we are happy to make changes to your retouched images until you are satisfied with the level of retouching work including:

• Stray hair removal

• Removal of blemishes 

• Reducing shine on face

• Reduce under eye bags

• Reducing wrinkles

• Whitening teeth

• Whitening eyes

• Removal of glare in glasses

• Image cropping

• Exposure and colour correction

• Reducing wrinkles in clothing

Every person prefers a different level of retouching. We will work on retouching your images until they are retouched to the level that meets your satisfaction. Please see our Retouching Services for a full list of inclusions and exclusions.

We do everything in our power to make sure that you love your headshots!

At One Tree Studio, we understand that not everyone loves to have their photos taken. Our experienced team is here to guide and direct you into flattering poses. We let you see your headshots at several points during your photo shoot so you can provide your feedback. We take your feedback and use it to create images you love!

We understand that situations come up and you may need to postpone or cancel your appointment. Should you need to change your photo shoot date, please let us know as soon as possible. There is no penalty to reschedule your photo shoot. If you are not feeling well please postpone your photo shoot to keep our staff and clients safe. If you would like to cancel your photo shoot completely, please allow at least 24 hours notice for a full refund of your headshot session fee less a $50 admin fee. There are no refunds for missed appointments or cancellations less than 24 hrs before your session.

Please try to be punctual, as we often have other clients booked on the same day. If you are late, it may cut into your session time. There are no refunds for missed appointments.

Our Standard headshot session lasts for up to 1 hour and includes headshots from the waist up. If you’d like more time and a greater variety of posing, including full-body, please book our Enhanced Headshot Session which is a 2 hour session.

When you arrive for your appointment, our friendly team will greet you and help you get any wardrobe changes you’ve brought set up and ready to go. With your input, we’ll select your first backdrop, get our beautiful studio lighting set up just right for you, and start shooting the first set of images. We are there to guide you into flattering poses and to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. We take a quick break after the first set to let you review the headshots and provide feedback. Our team takes your feedback and continues to adjust and modify through a few more sets, wardrobe changes, and backgrounds (as desired) until you have a nice collection of headshot possibilities. At the end of your session, we review all of your images with you and you select your favourites to purchase.

If you’d like to show your family or team your headshots before you decide what to purchase - no problem! There is no pressure to pick your photos at your appointment. We’ll put all of your headshot choices into a private gallery that you can choose from in the comfort of your own home.

Our studio has a large dedicated client washroom/change room with a place to hang your clothing.

Yes! Our studio offers a Shared Headshot Session upgrade! When you book a Standard Headshot Session, you can bring a friend to have their headshots done at the same time for 50% off the session fee. We’ll add an extra 30 minutes to your appointment and your friend can have access to our studio, photography team, and backdrops with you. Your headshot proofs will be delivered together in a shared online gallery for easy viewing to choose your favourites to purchase. You can also bundle your retouched headshot purchases! For example, if you and your friend would like 10 retouched images in total, you can enjoy the reduced rate instead of purchasing 5 each. Contact us to book your Shared Headshot Session.
